Recruitment Events
Frosh Park Party
Every year Frosh hosts a Park Party, typically on the Friday before classes start. This event is hosted at Parc Jeanne Mance and involves many faculties including engineering, science, and art sci. Typically, the day events coordinator for frosh will reach out to design teams and those interested can attend by hosting a small game or activity to engage first year students and recruit anyone interested.
EUS Involvement Day
Engineering Involvement Day is the best way to reach out to all engineering students at McGill. The VP Student Life will reach out to your team about the logistics of this event. Come prepared to engage students and make sure to have a sign up form ready!
SSMU Activities Night
Activities Night is a club fair hosted by SSMU every fall and where you can recruit students outside of the faculty of engineering. To sign up your team for this event, keep an eye out for emails from the SSMU VP Internal. Sometime in late August/early September there will be a link to register your team.
Reaching Out
TeN Screens
The Engineering Network (TeN), is a "digital signage" system used to display content on TV screens located throughout the engineering buildings. The screens are located in the Trottier, Wong, Macdonald, McConnell and FDA buildings and they are an amazing way for you to promote your team, recruitment events, workshops ect… For more information check out the TeN wiki page.
Job Board
The Job Board is where you can post applications for any positions that are available on your team. Clicking the “+” sign in the top right corner will show you the steps to make a posting there.
Pipeline Emails
If you want to promote your job posting to all EUS members, you can have it sent out in the weekly Pipeline email. By submitting this form before a Saturday at midnight, your job will be emailed out the following Monday.
Info Sessions
Teams tend to have large info sessions after their first round of recruiting. Dates of info sessions are set a couple weeks before they happen to ensure as few teams overlap as possible. For room bookings, you can always reach out to MESC, the engine, the mech eng office, or SUS room bookings, if EUS rooms are all booked.
You should advertise these on TeN screens and in the Pipeline.
