Who? Where? Why?
M-SERT At night events, Pub Crawl, and 3-Man, or on-call at (514) 398-5216. The specific location of MSERT at each event will be indicated in floor plans in the participants package. Equity & Sustainability Captains will also get a reminder of their specific location each day. For first aid or medical assistance at events.
Red Frogs At night events, Pub Crawl, and 3-Man. Specific locations will be communicated at a later date. For water, granola bars, or just a break from an event.
Chill zones At night events and some other events, to be finalized in the participants package. Exact locations will be provided in floor plans. For a break from an event and a quieter place to chill!
Walksafe At night events, or on call at (514) 398-2498. Usually near the exit; specific locations will be communicated at a later date. To be accompanied home anywhere on the Island of Montreal, by foot or transit, by two friendly volunteers.
Drivesafe At night events, or on call at (514) 398-8040. Set up outside the venue; a Drivesafe bus stop may be identified at a later date. For a safe and free ride home anywhere on the island of Montreal, generally provided based on need (i.e. level of intoxication).
McGill Office for Sexual Violence Response, Support and Education (OSVRSE) Tuesdays 1-4PM and Thursdays 10AM-1PM, or at osvrse@mcgill.ca 550 Sherbrooke O. Suite 585 For confidential, non-judgmental and non-directional support to those who have been impacted by sexual or gender-based violence. OSVRSE can provide support as well as assistance with reporting mechanisms, like through the McGill Code of Conduct.
Sexual Assault Centre of the McGill Students' Society (SACOMSS) Drop-in and phone line hours can be found at http://www.sacomss.org/wp/. Ground floor of 680 Sherbrooke or at (514)-398-8500. For trauma-informed support for survivors of sexual violence from trained students.
Montreal Sexual Assault Centre (CVASM) 24/7 by phone. Toll-free at 1 888-933-9007. For bilingual support and listening from a trained counsellor, and referrals to medical or legal resources.
Tel-Aide 24/7 by phone. (514) 935-1101. An anonymous, non-judgmental listening service for any situation, crisis or not.
Crisis Text Line 24/7 by text. Text 'CONNECT' to 686-868. For crisis assistance through text.
