Each category was supplied with a variety of datasets that the participants were allowed to make anything with. The only limitation was that at least one of the datasets from the category was used.

CodeJam is a 48-hour team-based programming competition organized by ECSESS. The event takes place in the Trottier building during the fall. Registration is usually cheap because the event is sponsored by multiple software companies. These companies also come to the event to recruit participants for internships and/or jobs.
