CodeCodeJam is the largest hackathon held by the ECSESS department at McGill! The event is usually held yearly in November in Trottier building. In the past, CodeJam has attracted 300+ participants from universities across Canada.Jam() CodeJam is a 36-hour hackathon that provides the great opportunity for students to apply the network and develop participants’ hacking skills they learn inside the classroom to create innovative, elegant, and effective solutions to real-life problems. We provide a nurturing environment where teams  Some key features of students experiment with upcoming technologiesCodeJam include:* Techfair hosted by CodeJam, brainstorm a multitude great for networking and landing an internship!* Swag bag for every participant including cool merch* A lot of solutions prizes to win with experts in many prize categories* Snacks provided during the field event* Workshops before and present their results to a set of industry leading judges. =Organizing Committee=
As of the 2017 competition 12th CodeJam, the [[ECSESS]] VP Technical Development president(TechDevs) takes on of the role of chair organizing committee are chosen by the committee of the organizing previous year and ECSESS’ VP Tech Dev. The president(s) then hold interviews to choose new members for the committee.
The organizing committee consists of the following sub-teams:
