Executive Punishment

The dreaded tar and feathering | |
Approved January 2009 |
While standards are held for all leadership positions in EUS, the executives are held in a higher regard. With this, there is a higher expectation for executives to meet the engineer's expectations. Therefore there is a set of bylaws (seen here) that dictates how to handle any potential breaches of the position.
Call for Punishment
The only event that can incite punishment on an Executive member is absence from EUS Council without reasonable (e.g. academic, health-related) reasons. That being said, this punishment must be beckoned upon by the council itself; therefore, according to the bylaws (specifically 1.3), the council acknowledges the unexcused absence when 2/3 of council chants
“ | Punishment! Punishment! Punishment! Punishment! | ” |
The Punishment
The executive once confirmed of their transgressions must be what is colloquially known as "Tar and Feathering." They must buy their own painters' suit to be worn at Blues Pub prior to the next EUS Council, which will then be covered in glue. Patrons at Blues Pub are then permitted to throw feathers (et al.) at the absentee. During the punishment, said executive can request donations to cover the price of the painters suit, the remainder of which would be donated to charity. The suit, then freshly primed, is to be worn at the next EUS council in it's entirety.
