The position of Publications Director oversees the management, planning and communications of the EUS publications committee such as The Plumber's Ledger and The Plumber's Faucet. This includes facilitating the acquisition of tools and software needed for the publications to operate smoothly, as well as advising and supervising newspaper releases, and managing the overall publications' outreach. The Publications Director also pursues new projects and initiatives related to writing during each mandate, such as to promote new publication ideas and student-led writing.

Duties

As well as managing the EUS publications committee, The Publications Director Portfolio includes the fulfillment of personal projects related to writing during its mandate, such as to engage with engineering students and create a sense of community around the EUS publications. Past writing projects include The Plumber's Inkwell, a creative writing anthology gathering poetry and short stories from McGill engineering students.

Plumber's Ledger

The Plumber’s Ledger is an entirely student-run publication at McGill University which publishes magazines on a monthly basis through the Engineering Undergraduate Society of McGill University (EUS), providing an in-depth and completely different perspective on campus issues, technology, and many more topics. The publication's director assists and promotes the Plumber's Ledger by making sure that the platforms, stands and outreach material is continuously updated. Plumber's Faucet

The Plumber's Faucet also started the Plumber's Tap, a comedy show that showcases student and Montreal comedy performances in the basement of the McConnell Engineering Building. The publications director provides insight on the monthly issues before being published and guides the EIC on future outreach plans.
