The VP Student Life oversees a variety of committees that contribute to making the EUS a happy and sustainable community, including SEAM, Junior Council, Graduation Committee, and Mental Health Committee. as well as the clubs and design teams. It also has a mandate of gathering feedback from the EUS community, and working to promote opportunities to get involved in the EUS. The portfolio also works with EUS Council, the blood drives, and Engineering Involvement Days.

Duties

Article 15 of the EUS Constitution 15.1 The Vice-President Student Life shall:

  1. Be responsible for implementing initiatives relevant to the well-being, first-year involvement and graduation logistics of EUS Regular Members
  2. Be responsible for encouraging active participation and continuous feedback within the Society
  3. Be responsible for the Secretary of the EUS Council and General Assembly;
    1. Be responsible for ensuring that members of the EUS Council attend Regular Meetings;
    2. Be responsible for updating the EUS Policy Manual;
    3. Be responsible for issuing agendas and minutes of the EUS Council meetings and General Assemblies, prior to any EUS Council meeting or General Assembly;
  4. Be responsible for the formation, end of year reports, and operations of EUS Clubs and Design Teams
  5. Be responsible for scheduling the use of and maintenance of the EUS Clubs Space and the McGill Engineering Design Network (MEDN)
