'''TechWeek ''' (not Tech''Fair'') is a week long event focused on celebrating and showcasing an annual celebration of the engineering profession as well as learning , during which students have many opportunities to learn more about ongoing research at McGill, career prospects, and current trends in engineering industries. TechWeek spans a full week and ongoing research at McGill. The event usually occurs at the end of January each year, (after [[E-Week]] and in the past has included guest speakers, lunchtime talks from professors, wine before [[TechFair]] and cheese evening panelsmidterms). TechWeek events cover a wide range (if not all) of engineering disciplines, speedoften focusing on multi-networking disciplinary subjects. These events are aimed to help students learn new engineering knowledge and moreprepare for the subsequent [[TechFair]] as well as other challenges to come.
TechWeek is organized by the TechWeek Committee, which comprises the [[VP Academic]], the TechWeek Committee Chair, and several TechWeek Coordinatorswho are openly recruited every September.

* Professional development workshops (often in collaboration with the [[Engineering Career Centre|Engineering Career Center]])
* Research talks given by McGill Engineering professors (also an opportunity to learn more about the SURE research program)
* Techtalks given by experts on state-of-the-art technologies in various engineering fields
* Cocktail networking sessions with industry professionals (the theme/related industry changes every year)
* Tours to engineering companies and facilities in Montreal
