BRIDGE is an interdisciplinary case competition sponsored by WSP Canada that brings together students from diverse academic disciplines to examine and propose solutions to complex sustainability challenges.
 
BRIDGE is an interdisciplinary case competition sponsored by WSP Canada that brings together students from diverse academic disciplines to examine and propose solutions to complex sustainability challenges.
  
In January 2020 we hosted our pilot project/first edition, and welcomed 40 students on campus to crack a case about energy efficiency. In the 2021 edition, we partnered with the Barkley Project Group and the Hesquiaht First Nation to develop a case on clean energy development and reducing energy poverty in the Hesquiaht First Nation. We grew by nearly 400% and welcomed students from 13 universities across the country.

Interested in working to expand the third annual BRIDGE Sustainability Case Competition? We are looking for enthusiastic students who are willing to work with an interdisciplinary team and WSP Canada to organize next year’s competition. Workload is highest leading up to the event (early January 2022).  
  
We will be recruiting one Competition Director from management and one from engineering. The two incoming directors will work with the outgoing directors to structure the rest of the executive committee roles, and then we will begin recruiting and onboarding the rest of the team in early May.
