Contents
Introduction
The McGill Association of Mechanical Engineers (MAME) is an undergraduate student organization within the Department of Mechanical Engineering. The purpose is to create a welcoming and well rounded departmental community, which is accomplished through the organization of several academic, professional, and social events throughout the year. MAME also works closely with the Engineering Undergraduate Society of McGill to ensure students have access to valuable resources that would enable success in these areas.

Offerings
The offerings for the 2015-2016 year include the following
Social
MAME plans a variety of social events and activities throughout the year to ensure mechanical engineering students have fun both inside and outside the classroom. These events and activities facilitate bonding between students and contribute to a strong departmental community. Some of the social events are as follows: Fall and Winter Banquets; Apartment Crawls; Mech Blues Pubs; Intramural sports teams (soccer, broomball); MAME Office (MC 120) There are also several sub-committees that work under the McGill Association of Mechanical Engineers to assist in event planning; (i) MAME First Year Council (FYC) (ii) MAME Social Committee
Professional
MAME is dedicated to providing students with the opportunity to explore the professional world and connect to professionals, both in industry and in other sectors. Whether you’re a student looking for an internship, or a graduating student, MAME has valuable resources to help students accomplish their professional goals. Some professional events include: MAME Industry Dinner; Mech Madness; Speed Networking Events
Academic
MAME works closely with faculty and professors in the department in order to promote academic success amongst students. Headed by the VP Academic, MAME hosts several events and has founded several initiatives in order to provide academic support to students. Sub-Committees: (i) MAME Academic Committee Events and Initiatives: Midterm and Final Exam Review Sessions; Mentorship Program; Lab Tours
