{{WebsiteIcon|1=http://codejam.mcgilleus.ca}}Code.Jam() is a 36-hour hackathon that provides the opportunity for students to apply the skills they learn inside the classroom to create innovative, elegant, and effective solutions to real-life problems. We provide a nurturing environment where teams of students experiment with upcoming technologies, brainstorm a multitude of solutions with experts in the field and present their results to a set of industry leading judges. Code.Jam() CodeJam is the largest engineering hackathon at McGill University with over 400 participants each year. Code.Jam() is supported held by the [[Electrical, Computer, and Software Engineering Student Society ([[| ECSESS]])at McGill! The event is usually held yearly in November in Trottier building. In the past, CodeJam has attracted 300+ participants from universities across Canada. =Organizing Committee=
As of the 2017 competition 12th CodeJam, the [[ECSESS]] VP Technical Development president(TechDevs) takes on of the role of chair organizing committee are chosen by the committee of the organizing previous year and ECSESS’ VP Tech Dev. The president(s) then hold interviews to choose new members for the committee.
The organizing committee consists of the following sub-teams:

The top three submissions in each category received a prize with the best project in each category competing against each other for the overall ranking.

The theme of the event was Digital by Default. Participants created any project and submitted it to the general category, and optionally to the two sponsor prizes.
