The University of Waterloo is proud to be hosting [http://2015.cde.cfes.ca CDE 2015]. A medium sized city, Waterloo, Ontario is home to two universities, Wilfrid Laurier University and the University of Waterloo, as well as Conestoga College, Ontario’s engineering- accredited college. It is also home to a growing tech industry that thrives off the innovative and entrepreneurial spirit boasted by the University of Waterloo.
The University of Waterloo was founded in 1957 to focus on cooperative education in applied science education, and it now hosts the largest undergraduate cooperative education program in the world. The university has over 30 000 students enrolled in 6 faculties across 10 campuses. Home to a vibrant campus community that is truly representative of the Canadian cultural mosaic, the University of Waterloo an ideal host for the first Conference on Diversity in Engineering.
===The Theme===
The theme for this year’s conference is Algorithms for Success. The sessions and speakers will expand on this theme to deliver a balanced and multifaceted approach towards understanding and tackling the challenges surrounding diversity, and creating opportunities for inclusivity in the Canadian engineering industry.
