As President, my primary role My name is Jessica McAvoy and I am very excited to represent Engineering students to the Engineering Faculty serve you this upcoming academic year as your President. I am born and McGill Administration. That involves tons of unexciting yet highly important meetingsraised in Calgary, taking up where I found a huge chunk love of my schedulethe outdoors and all things mountainous. If you are interested in student advocacyI work at Frostbite, feel free which is always the best place to contact me! The more exciting part of the presidency resolve around three major topics: Equitysocialize over deliciousness, Sustainability and Mental HealthI am currently in Materials engineering. These important social matters are addressed by well-established committees I first got involved in event planning in the Engineering Socials Committee, and I would encourage you have since branched out to attend their numerous cool eventsother clubs both in and out of the EUS. Being president If there is one piece of advice that you have heard before, it is also get involved, but it should really be to find something you are passionate about leading a team and go ahead and do it, you will find like minded people in the seven amazing individuals that form the exec committee are the best colleagues/friends/second family one can hope for. Their experience, dedication process and hard work will ensure that you have the time be much happier because of your life this year! All in allit. As president, the EUS my role is a vibrant community made possible thanks to represent Engineering students to the time Engineering Faculty and energy invested by hundreds of dedicated volunteers McGill Administration, oversee the Equity committee, and lead a handful team of long-term employeesstupendous individuals known as the executive committee. Whether you are a new or returning studentThe EUS Equity team promotes diversity, inclusion, take the time to ask questionsand equity in engineering, to get to know your surroundings and to make plan many events over the most out course of your time the year. I am here. If you haven’t done so already, to do everything I hope that can to serve you will find an involvement opportunity that suits your needs, giving you the chance to excel and shine.
