Article 1: Definitions

1.1 The Engineering Undergraduate Society of McGill University (hereafter referred as “ EUS ”) is the registered name of the non-for-profit corporation representing the engineering and architecture undergraduate students at McGill University
1.2 The Board of Governors of the EUS is the administrative board of the Engineering Undergraduate Society of McGill University which is composed of Administrators as defined by the EUS Constitution
1.3 The EUS shall recognise all Departmental Societies, Clubs, and Design Teams set forth in the relevant articles of the EUS Constitution as EUS Groups
1.4 Client :
1.4.1 Clients shall include all those who apply through official channels to PSD for projects.
1.4.2 Regular members of the EUS cannot apply as clients.
1.4.3 Clients must be represented by a committee or an EUS Group.
1.5 Content includes any files created by the designer; this includes any iterations leading up to and including the final design.
1.6 Project s include, but are not limited to: graphic design work, and merchandise.
1.7 Designer shall include any members creating content to fulfill a project on behalf of PSD.
1.8 Coordinators comprises both the communication coordinator and the workshop coordinator.

Article 2: Purpose

2.1 The Purpose of Plumbers’ Student Design (PSD) is to provide graphic design expertise to all groups within the EUS

Article 3: Membership

3.1 The membership of PSD shall be composed of:
3.1.1 The PSD Chair
3.1.2 The Communication Coordinator
3.1.3 The Workshop Coordinator
3.1.4 Designers
3.2 PSD Chair Selection:
3.2.1 The selection of the PSD chair should be in accordance with any relevant EUS policies and bylaws.
3.3 Coordinator Selection:
3.3.1 Coordinators shall be chosen at the discretion of the PSD Chair.
3.3.2 Coordinator eligibility is limited to those who have been a part of PSD for at least one academic semester.
3.4 All PSD members must be regular or associate members of the EUS.

Article 4: Responsibilities

4.1 The PSD Chair’s responsibilities are:
4.1.1 To evaluate projects submitted to PSD and act as the first point of contact with the client,
4.1.2 To organize and disseminate amongst the designers the projects available,
4.1.3 To ensure the completion of projects,
4.1.4 To direct the meetings of PSD,
4.1.5 To regularly meet with the Vice President Communications of the EUS,
4.1.6 To protect the creative liberties of the designers,
4.1.7 To manage the PSD budget.
4.2 The Communication Coordinator’s responsibilities are:
4.2.1 To promote the services offered by PSD, This includes, but is not limited to Pipeline submissions, posters on bulletin boards, and social media posts. Completed projects can be used for promotion, if permitted by the clients.
4.3 The Workshop Coordinator’s responsibilities are:
4.3.1 To organize workshops held on behalf of PSD,
4.3.2 To seek out external groups or individuals who will speak at the workshops,
4.3.3 To coordinate snacks and other resources that will be present at the workshops.
4.4 The Designers’ responsibilities are:
4.4.1 To assume the responsibilities of projects overseen by the PSD Chair,
4.4.2 To actively keep in touch with the client regarding the project’s progress,

Article 5: Projects

5.1 Projects of PSD are accepted or rejected at the discretion of the PSD Chair.
5.2 Groups within the EUS shall receive priority.
5.3 Projects must be submitted with a minimum of 2 weeks notice,
5.4 The project is closed when the content has been accepted by the client as final or at the discretion of the PSD chair.
5.5 Projects will be evaluated as submitted.
5.5.1 If the clients wish to substantially change or add to a project, they must submit a new request.
5.6 Projects for committees or EUS Groups cannot be incentivized by a reward,
5.6.1 The clients may provide the designers with merchandise or gifts in return for their service, but this shall not be solicited by PSD members.
5.6.2 Projects submitted by Groups outside the EUS may be incentivized by a reward

Article 6: Budget

6.1 All content produced by PSD is property of PSD until the project's completion.
6.1.1 Once the project has been completed, the client is responsible for the content produced.
6.1.2 PSD reserves the right to publicize the content of completed projects, if permitted by the client as outlined in the initial application.
6.2 PSD is responsible for the design of the content, but not the information with which it will be filled.

Article 7: Amendments

7.1 Amendments to this policy must be approved by a simple majority vote of the Board of Governors of the EUS

Article 8: Interpretation

8.1 In the case of a conflict between this policy and the following documents, the following documents prevail in the order they are listed in:
8.1.1 The Quebec Companies Act
8.1.2 The EUS Letters Patent
8.1.3 The EUS Constitution
8.1.4 The EUS Bylaws
